How Do You Summon a Mount in Wotlk?
Summoning a mount in World of Warcraft: The Wrath of the Lich King (Wotlk) is an exciting experience that allows players to travel quickly and comfortably across Azeroth and Northrend. In this article, we will cover the steps to summon a mount in Wotlk.
Leveling Up for Mounts
Before summoning a mount, it’s essential to reach level 20. At level 20, you will unlock the ability to visit the horse vendor location, where you can purchase mounts. You can also trade with other players for mount recipes. Reach Level 20 and have enough gold to purchase or trade for a mount recipe.
Mount Journal Tab
Once you’ve unlocked the ability to visit the horse vendor location, click on the Mount tab in your character’s journal to access the Mount window. You can select the mount you want to ride from this window and click the "Mount" button to spawn the mount.
Horse Vendor Location
If you prefer to purchase your mount directly from the vendor, head to the east of Elwynn Forest, where you’ll find the horse vendor. Speak to the vendor, select the mount you want, and click the "Purchase" button to buy your mount.
Shift + P Hotkey
While you’re in the middle of exploring, you don’t want to be sidetracked by the click-and-hold process for summoning your mount. Press Shift + P to quickly summon or dismount your mount whenever you want.
Buffs and Icons
You can add an icon to your mini-map by closing the Mount window and hovering over the horse vendor’s location. Right-click the icon to "Add to Buffs". This allows you to conveniently access the mount from any location in the game.
