How Do You Get Team Rocket to Move in Saffron City?

When it comes to the Saffron City in Pokémon Red and Blue, the area is unfortunately taken over by Team Rocket. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered on how to get rid of them. Here are the various methods that you can employ to rid Saffron City of the pesky Team Rocket Grunts and move closer to your journey.

Method 1: Teleportation to the 7th Floor

Before we dive into the full explanation, a quick side note: Gary, one of your trainers, needs to be in the party for this method to work. Get Gary and have him as a team member before proceeding with the following step.

Find Gary in Celadon City and recruit him. With Gary as a party member, travel to Lavender Tower. Visit the 7th floor, where you’ll face off against Team Rocket members. Teleport the members away, and continue fighting until Gary is challenged by the next member, a Rocket Guard.

The Rocket Guard will engage in battle. Beat the Rocket Guard to move them out of the way and progress with the story. This might require some planning and Pokémon leveling up to ensure that your team can handle this additional challenge.
