In this guide, we’ll show you how to free up some space in your Pokémon Box and get the most out of your team.

How to Expand Your Box Space

One of the simplest ways to get more box space is to clear out some Pokémon from existing boxes. Look for those Pokémon that are no longer needed or haven’t seen any action lately. Maybe you have multiple copies of the same Pokémon or one that’s only good for breeding. If so, consider releasing or trading it away.

Here are the steps to clear out space in your box:

• Select a Pokémon in an unmanaged Pokémon: When you select a Pokémon and hold down the button (or tap), a little checkmark appears next to the Pokémon’s name.

• Highlight other unnecessary Pokémon: By holding the button (or tapping the screen), you can then select other unwanted Pokémon next to the already selected ones.
• Release those Pokémon: Open the Settings menu and tap on “Release all selected Pokémon. This will move the extra Pokémon to Professor Willow in exchange for Candies (more on Candies below).

Use the New Box Trick to Boost HP and Stats

Another fun way to make the most of your box space is by using the "Box Trick". In this trick, you repeatedly deposit and withdraw a single Pokémon, increasing the power of that Pokémon. Why? Because with each repetition, the Pokémon’s overall stats (and HP specifically) increase by a noticeable amount!

1- Choose your Pokémon. Select one you care about, so you wouldn’t mind if it changed a bit. It really doesn’t matter which – it’s an experiment purely for stats enhancement.

• Deposit the Pokemon into a managed box on Bill’s PC.

Withdraw your Pokémon – and voila! New stats!

Remember, just one Pokémon – don’t try this trick with whole teams!

By using either of these strategies, we can free up space on our Pokémon boxes and open up new room for us to catch new Pokémon – or even reorganize our existing squad!
