What would happen if a child hugged Doom Slayer?

For decades, Doom Slayer (also known as Doomguy) has been a solo crusader, taking down hordes of demons single-handedly to save Earth from eternal darkness. Born from a demonic ritual during the Doom Eternal storyline, the Slayer is a man of action, fueled by his wrath against the monsters that invaded our world.

But what would happen if a child were to brave the unforgiving darkness and muster the courage to hug the mighty Doom Slayer? This is a paradoxical question, as an action hero like Doomslayer doesn’t exactly cater to sentimental moments. Given his nature, a curious child would be unlikely to find him receptive to even the simplest gestures of goodwill.

Short story

In an alternate universe (or an interesting fan-imagining), a distraught child, seeking warmth and solace in troubled times, ventures into a dark and desolate abandoned building where Doom Slayer suddenly appears, covered in dark, armored gear and bearing the scars of countless demonic battles.

As the tearful child runs towards them, expecting to find strength and guidance, Doom Slater, sensing a vulnerability in those bright, inquisitive eyes, would likely find himself briefly moved by humanity’s simplest expression of unconditional love.

Feeling of Relief

For perhaps a fleeting moment, perhaps only for a fraction of a second, the wrath and intensity would fade momentarily, and the Slayer could be glimpsed, perhaps even seen as a sympathetic figure. In this second, Doom Slayer’s actions might even momentarily cease for a moment, and something like an air of solemn understanding and recognition of pure, genuine emotions could creep into his otherwise unshakable, battle-forged heart.

From that point, Doom slayer could very well pick up his weapons, grinning his infamous grin beneath his mask, ready once more to storm into that darkness to rid the Universe of all those monstrous demonic creatures and evil forces spreading terror throughout.

Analysis

Now, what lessons can be learned from what might be considered a simple, poignant scenario?

Do children always seek love but also courage, as was seen here, from extraordinary beings, especially when others around them might be failing those needs?
How often children seek security in action itself, often ignoring danger out of the necessity to live?
Will we find those children among those fighting an existential struggle to preserve some shred of their world on a faraway, decaying Mars colony?
Where does one place themselves so as not to fall down into chaos but stay balanced?

And yet, an essential factor of a particular human aspect we know better than other; children do seek reassurance that someone understands an action we see.

An additional analysis from another different perspective of an interesting human experience:
For example is this scene just about humanity and it is so human? Does that give importance to emotions like the heart’s deepest connection and then it has something like this kind we know we should appreciate about a more extraordinary life force that gives power?

With a question on an extremely simple point to clarify here:
How easy would Doom Slayer accept of that emotional experience of which the question itself does lead us through it and now to analyze further on: the potential action or perhaps in fact even just love for someone to feel from Doom Slayer as if ever, there? With that to explore what emotions he experiences while hugging the child?

It depends on your perception. Whether it can or will bring some level of humanity there in which to give out to people with more powerful strength.
There may occur the very few chances; that if one ever reaches this sort of human or love-like expression and still remains at an edge then he does something we did not understand the very purpose for but also not with this much potential, right?

A chance, possibly. What are we speaking about and a possible world we don’t have is here as to that it would do with us while Doom Slayer will fight, it cannot stop as his main interest and there could be to understand if ever.
