A common question that has popped up in the world of The Sims 4: can you, in fact, poison a Sim? The answer is a resounding yes, but there are certain ways in which you can do this. In this article, we’ll explore the ins and outs of poisoning in The Sims 4.
Ways to Poison a Sim
As it turns out, poisoning a Sim is not quite as straightforward as it used to be. Gone are the days of simply grabbing a random food item from the fridge and feeding it to your unsuspecting Sim. No, no! Modern Sims have evolved and so have the ways we poison them.
Here are the three primary methods used to poison a Sim in The Sims 4:
• Culinary Incompetence: Cooking is an important part of any Sim’s life, and sometimes those Sim chefs can get their wires crossed. If they don’t have a very high Cooking skill, their creations might not be very edible… or safe!
• Rodent Attentions: In the most unpredictable and exciting way to poison a Sim, rats have taken on a different meaning. Those pesky critters might just end up giving your Sim some… "undeserved attention" in the shower, or, you know, at the dinner table.
• Puffed-up Delicacies: Ever heard of Puffedfish Nigiri? Yeah, that’s something new! In The Sims 4, puffed fish become puffed-up and ready to go but don’t always go from plate to stomach without putting on a little showstopper for the Grim Reaper! With this method of "food poisoning", expect the unexpected… and if not treated promptly, don’t be surprised if one of your favorite Sims, you know, stops living!
Interactions with the Grim Reaper
While you can only woo the Grim Reaper but cannot marry them, one must remember that the end result is a bit offbeat and more like being dead. Yes, one cannot "date" up until now; the process takes on a different shade!
As for using the Grim Reaper, try asking the Grim Reaper your heart out and see his/her reactions; you will get the chance but still can’t marry with a little creative thinking the result of an in- game achievement.
While interacting with the Grim Reaper will only bring you nearer to death and not help your chances of marrying… (yet, who could rule out an unexpected chance, you never know. That Grim Reaper might learn from this) you certainly don’t need to stay at the "end for that. With the ‘marriage to the living, ‘your Sims** experience new ways to socialize with them, create, or have a chat; in-game achievements only become available if you allow Sims to do this on occasion, while you see more interesting events. "Grim Reaper" only functions in different ways once these have occurred.
