Can You Marry Miraak in Skyrim?
The question that has left many Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim players puzzled for a long time: can Miraak be married in the game? The short answer is yes, but only under specific conditions. In this article, we’ll dive into the details and explore the reasons behind this intriguing phenomenon.
Why Miraak Can be Married
In the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim, Miraak is introduced as the legendary First Dragonborn, rumored to be a powerful foe. However, upon speaking with him, it’s revealed that he is instead a confused and somewhat belligerent character seeking to fulfill his destiny.
Requirements to Marry Miraak
Before attempting to marry Miraak, it’s crucial to meet certain prerequisites:
• Miraak must not be fighting: If Miraak is engaged in combat, your attempts to propose will fail.
• Bend Will shout is required: You need to have a fully learned and charged Bend Will shout to activate Miraak’s special wedding sequence.
Wedding Process and Requirements
Here’s what you need to do:
- Use Bend Will: Target Miraak and activate the Bend Will shout.
- Talk to Miraak: After using Bend Will, initiate a conversation with Miraak, and select the option: "Are you the Nerevarine?" which will start a brief scenario.
- Satisfy his requirements: Miraak will outline his terms: he must be respected as the most powerful warrior, and any other warrior in the scene must be killed.
• Take down his guard: Use your combat skills to eliminate Miraak’s two bodyguards in the arena.
• Show your dominance: Challenge Miraak to combat and emerge victorious.
Marriage
After clearing the aforementioned conditions, return to the original location, and speak to Miraak. This time, you’ll be presented with the option to Propose Marriage. As long as the Bend Will shout remains charged, this will lead to a new scene and your successful wedding to Miraak.
