What Happened?
On March 27, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. PDT, Pokémon Bank’s paid passes were no longer offered for purchase. On the same day, Pokémon Bank became available for free, without any end date planned.
What Happens When Pokémon Bank Expired?
If your trial pass or annual pass expires, you can still withdraw your Pokémon from Pokémon Bank for a set period of time. However, once that set period of time ends, any Pokémon remaining in your Pokémon Bank Boxes will be lost. Therefore, it is essential to withdraw your Pokémon before your trial pass or annual pass expires.
Transfer Pokémon from Bank to Home
To transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon Home, you need an active subscription to Bank (until the eShop shutdown happens) and a premium subscription to Pokémon Home. You will need to select the "Move" option from Pokémon Home and enter the Moving Key that was displayed on Nintendo Switch. Transfer your Pokémon to Pokémon Home before the deadline to prevent losing them.
Is Pokémon Home Free?
Pokémon Home has two different versions: Nintendo Switch and mobile. Both versions are linked via Nintendo Account, and there are both a free Basic Plan and a paid Premium Plan. The free plan allows you to transfer and store up to 150 Pokémon, while the paid plan offers more features, such as more storage and the ability to trade and transfer Pokémon to other apps.
Cost of Transferring Pokémon to Home
