Can You Skip into the Maw?

The Shadowlands update in World of Warcraft brings a new experience to players, including the Maw, a region filled with challenges and rewards. If you’re new to this region, you might wonder if you can skip some parts of it. Can you skip the Maw introduction? Can you exit the Maw once you’re in it? Is there a way to leave the Maw without worrying about the experience? Read on to find out!

First Character Experience
For your first character, you won’t be able to skip the Maw introduction. You’ll be forced to go through the cutscene and the initial mission to escape the Maw. This is a crucial part of the story and sets the stage for your journey in Shadowlands. However, if you start a new character, you’ll have the option to skip the Maw intro.

Skip the Maw Introduction with Later Characters
If you have subsequent characters on your account, you can skip the Maw introduction by talking to the NPC who gives out the first quest. There’s no penalty for doing so, and you won’t miss out on any essential content.

What Happens if You Skip the Maw Intro?
If you decide to skip the Maw introduction, you’ll directly enter the actual covenant area and start your journey as a member of one of the four covenants. You won’t get any experience from the experience, but you won’t lose any levels either.

When Can You Escape the Maw?
You can leave the Maw at any time using the portal in the center of the region. Make sure to check your direction before leaving, as going back to the Maw can be difficult.

Lost Souls in the Maw
One of the most frustrating experiences in the Maw is being unable to escape because of soul rocks. To stop these rocks from chasing you and making you stay in the Maw, simply clear the area around you quickly. This will reset your timer and allow you to leave the Maw later.

Staying Below the Radar in the Maw
If you’re worried about being constantly hunted in the Maw, you can simply quit for the day and reset your timer for the next day. There’s no penalty for leaving the Maw, and you won’t lose any progress.
