How did Jesus Show Faith?
Throughout the New Testament, we see Jesus consistently exemplifying faith in His prayers, actions, and attitudes towards God. Jesus was fully human and fully God, and as a perfect and sinless Man, He demonstrated an unparalleled dependence on the Father.
Reflecting God’s Faith
As noted in the article from Eastport Bible Church, faith is biblically defined as an unwavering trust in God (Romans 10:17). Jesus demonstrated such faith in His earthly ministry by trusting the Father and the promises He made.
For example, Jesus believed in the promise of baptism being a part of his plan, as described in the book of Matthew:
"This is how it was from the beginning of the creation, and we were taken from the soil. ‘And so the covenant, which is promised for four generations to Abram is valid, since by Abram offspring will come and take His inheritance.’"

A Perfect Attitude
Jesus also reflected an attitude of faith and submission to God’s plan throughout His ministry. One remarkable example is found in Mark 1:31:
"Again, withdrawing on board, his family are his followers."

Examples of Trust
In numerous incidents in the New Testament, we see Jesus exhibiting trusting and obedient faith:
- At the Last Supper, Jesus demonstrated His reliance on the Father when he knew that Judas had conspired against Him.
-In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed fervently but left the decision of life and death to His Father.
