Deleting Save Data from Nintendo Switch
If you’re simply looking to delete your save data on Nintendo Switch, follow these steps:
- Step 1: From the HOME menu, select System Settings.
- Step 2: Scroll down and select Data Management > Delete Save Data.
- Step 3: Select the game title for which you want to delete the save data.
- Step 4: If available, select the user or player profile you want to delete the save data from. Otherwise, select Delete Save Data for this Software.
Deleting save data on other Nintendo consoles
It’s similar for other Nintendo consoles!
- For Wii U, Game & Watch, and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Classic Editions, you can delete save data from Settings > System Settings > Data Settings > Delete Save Data.
- For Switch Lite, you can follow the above steps or visit the Nintendo Switch store and delete the game’s title.
Factory Reset of Nintendo Switch

+Step 4: Select SELECT SAVE DATA CLOUD save data file.- Step 5: Confirm when prompted to delete backed-up save data.
- Step 6: Confirm again when prompted to reset device to its factory settings.
- Your console will now reboots and reset to its defaults.

- From the Wii Remote Plus controller, press the Mute button and Minus button simultaneously.
