How Does Solemn Strike Work?
Activation and Effects
Solemn Strike is a powerful card ability that can negate certain effects and activate in specific situations. So, exactly how does it work?
Monsters and Monster Effects
When an opponent would summon a monster without triggering a Chain, you can activation Solemn Strike. **This can stop them from summoning a monster. For monsters that trigger when summoned or activated, **including those with the ability, Solemn Strike will still nullify their effects, preventing an opponent from activating any abilities.
Monster Effects Example: Infini’s effect to boost itself based on the number of Ritual Spellstones on the field won’t hit, allowing you to react with Solemn Strike to prevent its boost.
Spell Cards and Other Effects
When a Spell Cast or Trap Actuated Chain is triggered, you cannot activate Soul Strike, but if something else would allow a monster summons, Solemn Strike gets to go to work after the chain resolving.
Negating Super Polymerization? NO GO
In battle, Solemn Strike’s negates the effect but won’t stop the fusion spell’s resolves. This includes Super-Polymerization – no magic to stop this. Your Solemn Strike could have made a difference earlier or on more occasions if cards with card effects were used
The Rest of the Field’s State Has No Effect
As cards are on the battlefield, there, other cards’ special effects get triggered or when another Effect is activated. You would see their effects; cards don have any special conditions when.
