How good is Aviator in Tower battles?
The Aviator is a popular tier 1 tower in the Tower Battles game, offering fast fire rate and significant damage. But how does it fare in the higher tiers of play? Does its early game strength sustain through the later stages?
Early Game Strength: Fast Fire Rate and Consistent Damage
The Aviator’s fast fire rate makes it deadly against early game enemies such as Normals, Speedys, and Slows. Its consistent damage is high, allowing you to quickly clear waves before your opponents do. Combined with its low CD (cooldown), Aviator can provide a much-needed burst of damage to keep your opponent’s towers held at bay.
Strongpoints:
- Consistent damage
- Low cooldown
- Fast fire rate
Weak points:
- Vulnerability to high-priority shot towers
- Limited sustain against later-game enemies and defenses
Mid game Adjustments:
The Aviator is best replaced with mid-game towers by wave 10-11, as it becomes largely outclassed against mid-game enemies and threats. The damage output slowly starts to dwindle when up against the likes of Gungaters, Hunters, and Snipers, requiring a significant upgrade with stronger towers to counter these heavy-hitters.
Leveling and Upgrades
- Level 7 Aviator: Averaged damage increased by around 15%, with marginal changes to its fire rate.
- Level 12 Aviator: Maximum damage increased by around 30%, but with somewhat decreased fire rate.
Please note that upgrade performance varies based on tier and game settings.
Table 1: Aviator Performance Comparison (Level and Upgrades)
