The Garden of Salvation: Unlocking the Secrets of Destiny 2’s Exciting Raid
The latest expansion to Destiny 2, Shadowkeep, introduced a new raid called the Garden of Salvation. But what exactly does this new raid entail? In this article, we’ll break down the basics of Garden of Salvation, including how many encounters it contains.
The Beginning of the Raid
For new and old fans alike, the Garden of Salvation may seem daunting at first glance. The raid is known for its challenging encounters, puzzles, and intricate setup. However, with experience and practice, even new Guardians can conquer this Raid. To begin, groups of six players will receive a signal from the Warlock, Eris. After investigating the signal, their team will embark on an epic journey through the Sanctified Mind, the new Vex Mind, within the Black Garden.
Encounter 1: Consecrated Mind The first encounter in Garden of Salvation is against a powerful foe known as Consecrated Mind, the Vex Mind at the heart of the garden. This boss is more like a mini-boss, as it has little health and is easily kited. However, groups will need to work in harmony to defeat it in Phase 1: Phase 1. Once defeated, the Phase 2 begins, involving Tethering Unbound Vex; here, teams must bind Vex to the stage using tethers before the Vex Mind, making it easier to beat. In this phase, groups must work together rapidly to eliminate the Vex while also managing the arena to prevent damage.
**Consecrated Mind** (Phase 1) Defeat Phase 1 and transition into Phase 2
**Consecrated Mind** (Phase 2) Tether Unbound Vex then defeat the Vex Mind
**Consecrated Mind** (Phase 1) and **Consecrated Mind** (Phase 2) are presented together because they are intrinsically linked. Winning the first phase sets players up for success in Phase 2.
**First Phase**
The first fight begins with the Consecrated Mind in the top-center of the arena; Guardians must **kite it around the arena and pick up orbs** it leaves behind. The most efficient way to do so is to split into sub-teams and focus **specific orb colors** then share them with the opposing team. After picking each color, players must go back to their respective anchors, as **orb fragments can harm teammates**. To avoid this, spread the fragments around the outer edge of the arena
Phase Challenges
Beware of **orb resonance**, as it can kill a player if they carry the wrong color. Some Guardians might get confused after collecting a few orbs so do watchout if confusion or the wrong color orb carried To make it smooth and quick, the transition into Phase 2 goes by much more smoothly since people practice first Phage
Encounter 2: Sanctified Mind
In the second encounter **Sanctified Mind, you will face a combination of waves of Vex and Vex Minis**, making it a demanding challenge. This fight introduces new mechanics like **Stasis Turrets** where teams must take down several Turrets before the mind goes into a state with less health. **Protect the Sanctified Mind Node** and ensure that team members don’t get attacked. As you progress towards the final phase, manage **Tethering Allies**, bind allies to maintain safety while eliminating Vex. In the final boss phase, the Sanctified Mind is in a single form with less health from previous phases. This new state has more health (more damage required) is called **Final Phase
Second Phase
To ensure a 15-k1 score: **Wedge at Center Stairway** Remove turrets to protect sanctuary, while focusing on binding Keep Vex off allies and the Sanctuary node
**Takeaway:**
**Four Waves** – Wave: **Stasis Turret Wave**; remove – Wave: Unbound Vex Wave Wave 2: **The Tethering Wave with a Tethering of Unbound Vex after each Wave This process helps keep Vex separated: It eliminates groups more effectively, reducing the effectiveness of tethering allies because more players are not killed at once.
