How Many Summons Can You Do Per Turn?

Normal Summons, Link Summons, and Pendulum Summons: Understanding the Different Types
Before we get to the answer, let’s briefly define each type of summon:
- Normal Summons: Summoning a monster from your deck.
- Link Summons: Summoning a Link monster and designating it as an Link Materials monster.
- Pendulum Summons: Summoning a Pendulum monster using your Pendulum Scale.
Normal Summmons: 1 Per Turn (Even if Negated)
According to the Official Card Game Rules, you can Perform 1 Normal Summon, Normal Set, or Special Summon per turn. This means you can:
- Normal Summon/Set 1 monster.
- Normal Special Summon 1 monster with special summoning effects (like monsters with " Special Summon only" effects).
- Even if your Normal Summon/Special Summon is negated or destroyed by effect, you can still Normal Summon/Special Summon again within your turn.
Link Summons: Only 1 Per Turn (and No Chaining)
Link Summons, unlike Normal Summons, do have some restrictions. You can perform only 1 Link Summon per turn, and:
- Each Link Material monster designated on the Link Summon can be in various zones (hand, field, banished, etc.).

Face-Down Cards and Flips
When it comes to flipping facedown cards:
• You cannot Flip Summon multiple times in the same turn (no exceptions).
• Flips Do Not Count as Summons, so you can Flip Summon as many times as you can satisfy the Flip Summon requirements, independent of your Normal Summons/Set and Link Summons.
