Tactics and Approaches
As you stand before the Eye of Cthulhu, with its unsettling, glowing abyssal eye staring back, you should take a more strategic approach to defeat 3000 Health Points.
- Use defensive items and strategies: Defensive items such as shields help to deflect some of Cthulhu’s strikes, but also be well-prepared for the "lunge" attack if you fail to dodge one.
- Choose well-equipped heroes: Ensure characters have good damage output due to various accessories and special abilities.
Keep in the back, while the second phase commences, since it may get more menacing. Your characters will suffer more from this boss depending on how they are suited.
Second Phase Chaos
During the second "lunge" phase. Cthulhu leaps at the player, providing an even more challenging defense. If the player falters in this "lunge" phase you may get knocked back too far. Your characters gain a slight speed boost each time Cthulhu’s head crashes into obstacles.
When your characters run away in panic, so does the eye of Cthulhu., causing your characters become even faster for a 5-7 seconds every time this occurs. Additionally, they have a random chance of dodging every time you do this the second Cthulhus’ attack will be an "eye lash" swipe, as if it, too, has been temporarily mesmerized. Eye dashes for your characters happen, providing you with room to retreat.
