How to Activate Your Mount in World of Warcraft?

Mounts are available to purchase or craft, and each one has its own unique characteristics and abilities.
Requirements for Activating a Mount
To activate a mount in World of Warcraft, you’ll need to meet certain requirements:
• Character Level: Your character must be level 40 to ride a blue mount and level 60 to ride an epic mount.
• Expert Riding: To ride a mount, you’ll need to purchase the Expert Riding skill from your riding trainer. This costs 250 gold.
• Faction Mount Vendors: Certain mounts are only available from faction-specific vendors.
• Location: Make sure you have the right location to ride your mount.
Steps to Activate a Mount
Now that we’ve covered the requirements, let’s dive into the steps:
Under Your Spells (Tab) [Level 40 Blue Mount]
If you have reached level 40 and your mount doesn’t appear, you’ll need to visit your character’s Spellbook. Inside, find the "Riding" section and scroll down until you see "Mount" (icon) or press Ctrl + 1 and check if "Mounts" tab has appeared in the interface bar.
When Can You Ride?
- 40-Level Character: Rides and has a minimum speed. Some mounts aren’t unlocked for this speed.
- Epic Mount Speed: Some blue mounts’ speed varies according to how fast a 60-level character mounts are.
Riding a Blue Mount at Level 60
From level 40, and you already learned how to ride in previous sections; you might see some different mounts listed with "B" after them. Don’t click "Learn the Mount Skill," but do click and choose your wanted mount! (Cost = 250 Gold).
Choosing Your Flight Trainer
Expert Riding now bought; learn the specific Riding Skill "Flight Mount Skill" then go into "Riding" spell and scroll over to click to purchase Flying Mount and fly around regions.

Locations You Can Find Vendors
Now, ride through these, and keep watching your back for certain vendor items while you journey:
- Horde: Eastern Plaguelands (L),
- Horde: Blasted Lands, the Darkshore (C), the Howling Fjord (O)
Please let the vendor show a message telling you have your mount while you walk; they would say (after buying: "Fly mounted in A." Click to change your camera position while traveling.
