What are the Ranks in XCOM Psionic?
In XCOM, the ranks in psionic soldiers progress through experience gained through the successful use of their psionic abilities rather than general combat experience. In this article, we will delve into the details of the different ranks, their characteristics, and the abilities they confer upon psionic soldiers.
Psi Adept
The first rank for psionic soldiers is Psi Adept. It is the entry-level rank for all psionic operatives, where they are gifted with an innate talent in psionics. In this stage, the psi-operative undergoes psionic testing and learns their initial 3 abilities, which includes the psionic attack ability.

After the psionic specialist progresses to the final rank of Psi Operative, they develop additional powers and abilities to wreak havoc on enemies. With a total of 18 psionic ability choices to select from, psionic operatives are true forces to be reckoned with.
