In the online gaming platform Roblox, FRP stands for "Fail Roleplay." Fail roleplay refers to any behavior that disrupts or destroys the roleplaying atmosphere in the game. Players who fail to roleplay correctly may be seen as disrupting the game’s simulation and failing to immerse themselves in the game.
Signs of Poor Roleplaying
- A player starts to break roleplaying protocols, such as speaking outside of character.
- They fail to roleplay logically, making poor decisions for their character that are inconsistent with the storyline.
- They start using godly powers or exhibit god-moding behavior (controlling the actions and movements of other players for personal entertainment).
- The player uses the game environment in unnatural or unrealistic ways.
Consequences of FRP
- Being reported for FRP to the Roblox moderators for further investigation.
- Losin'/stinting privileges due to bad behavior.
- Players in the game become upset with the FRPer and will often gang-up on or harass them out of retaliation.

- Roleplay abandonment: when players leave or abandon their current role and start a new one in the same context, effectively ending the interaction and losing the momentum.
