Do Not Start with DOOM 3
Unlike many other franchises, it is recommended to not start your journey with DOOM 3. The best route to take is to either start with Ultimate DOOM, Doom (2016), or Doom Eternal. DOOM (2016) and Doom Eternal are widely regarded as two of the best shooters of all time, making them an excellent choice.
Ultimate DOOM or Doom (2016)
So, now you have to decide whether to start with the Ultimate DOOM, released in 1994, or the modern installment Doom (2016), which came out in 2016.
