What happened to Mia Winters at the end of Resident Evil 8?
At the end of Resident Evil 8, one of the most pressing questions many players had was what happened to Mia Winters. Fans of the series know her as the wife of Ethan Winters, and throughout the game, it seemed as if Miranda and Eveline were manipulating her disappearance.
Captivity and Experiments
As we soon discover, Mia has indeed been captured by [Miranda]. Before her abduction, Eveline, the parasite born from the Mold, assimilates Mia’s consciousness to use her as bait, hoping to lure Chris to her location. Despite initially being unaware of Miranda’s true intentions, we now know that she orchestrated everything to get close to Chris and eventually manipulate both Evan and Ethan.
While captivated, Mia suffered physically and mentally at the hands of Miranda, eventually surrendering to her programming under the influence of _[Eveline] ‘. It is this captivity and experimentation under her tutelage that led Mia being used as a shell in disguise to infiltrate Evan’s life, even disguising herself as Eve on several occasions.
