Dead Island 2, an upcoming action role-playing game by Dambuster Studios and Deep Silver, has attracted a significant amount of hype among gamers. As of now, the game follows the story of a special agent, Dani, or other playable characters, named Samantha "Sam" Bradley, and Logan Carter (not in the main build), who are immune to the zombie virus. Amidst the chaos, the virus has infected most of civilization, turning people into powerful, zombie-like creatures referred to as "Hounded". The game concluded with a cliffhanger, leaving players wondering, "What happens at the end of Dead Island 2?"

The True Ending: A Cliffhanger

The main single-player story of Dead Island 2 concludes with Player One’s character, being the protagonist, escaping destruction after saving Sam’s (one of the playable) life. The infection has taken over Hollywood at this point, and many of the survivors are believed to be infected. Even Dani, the special operative, may have been one of the few immune after a long fight against powerful Hounded. The event culminates in Players experiencing the final mission that is set in Hollywood boulevard.

Following the main cutscene, the player begins their quest to reach immunosanctuary that was hinted at in news and reports. The immuno-sanctuary aimed to house and protect Immunus individuals, who retained their immunity to the zombies. In the end the story shows that Dani didn’t manage to board safe and had to make impossible decisions for survival.

By exploring Dead Island 2, we can learn quite a lot about the disease, Hounded, infections, the immunos-sactuary, and possibly more in the game since the last mission of primary storyline leaves many questions outstanding.
