What Happens If You Ally with the Institute?
Fallout 4 is an action-adventure game with a variety of factions, each having its own motives and ways of operating. One such faction is the Institute, a group of advanced Institute Synths (android-like beings) aiming to develop and protect Synths on the planet. If you decide to pledge final loyalty to the Institute, you will face crucial consequences that may affect gameplay and story.

Main Consequences
- You will become enemies with all other faction leaders, except for Paladin Danse (who secretly works for the Institute, but doesn’t reveal your allegiance).
- You’ll lose access to the vaults and must find ways to obtain water, stimpacks, and bullets.
- Companions will either switch sides to the Institute (if capable) or die, marking the end of their existence in the story.
