Nintendo has long-standing partnerships with the Starlight Children’s Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support to seriously ill children who require long-term care. Through this partnership, Nintendo has developed and donated Starlight Gaming Stations, which are entertainment devices that combine a video game system with a TV and can be freely moved around a hospital room. This initiative aims to bring a smile to the faces of these children, providing a much-needed escape from their daily struggles. Nintendo has donated more than 1,300 gaming stations to date, with 500 more expected in the future.
