What is Full to Bursting Zomboid?
Project Zomboid, a popular indie sandbox-style survival video game, has gained a massive following worldwide. Among the game’s many exciting features, one aspect has gained attention from players – the "Full to Bursting" status. This phenomenon affects the game’s mechanics and gameplay, but what does it mean?
Definition
Full to Bursting refers to the state where the player character’s stomach capacity is reached, making them unable to eat or consume any further food. The game checks the character’s hunger meter, and if it is at maximum, the player will enter a "full to bursting" state. This state brings various changes to the player’s in-game experience, as you will see.
Characteristics
- Immunity to Starvation: When in this state, the player is no longer affected by hunger and thirst. The game no longer deducts sanity or movement speed due to hunger and thirst.
- No More Eating: The character cannot eat any food items, including vital sources like water, rations, or fresh fruit. They will not have the ability to consume these items.
- Speed and Strength Boost: A full stomach provides a speed and strength boost, which is useful for exploration and combat. The character becomes more energetic and powerful while in this state.
- Complete Immunity: The character is completely immune to infections, diseases, and diseases spread through scratches or bites.
Risks
- Reduced Stamina: While speed and strength are boosted, stamina takes a hit, making long-distance running more challenging. The character might become winded faster and experience decreased stamina regeneration.
- Weight Gain: Overconsumption of food can lead to weight gain, reducing the character’s agility, movement speed, and stamina.
Treatment
The only way to overcome "Full to Bursting" is to not eat or drink for an extended period, allowing the character’s hunger meter to decrease. A full to bursting character may take more time to satiate their hunger, depending on the food items and the length of time between meals. Be careful, though – undereating can be detrimental to a character’s health and vitality.
