What is the format for the Warzone tournament?
The Warzone Global Finals, the climax of the Call of Duty Championship, is a unique competition that requires teams to put their skills to the test in a variety of scenarios. The format of the tournament is designed to separate the best from the rest, and to reward strategic thinking, quick reflexes, and effective communication among team members.
Six Maps of One-Shot Deathmatch
The format begins with six maps, which are played in a specific order. Each map will feature a unique playlist of game modes, including One-Shot Deathmatch (OSD). OSD is a fast-paced and intense game mode, where the objective is to gain the most kills as possible. The World Series of Warzone format will see teams competing on these six maps in this playlist, with each win earning them points towards their final score.
Tactical Gameplay
In order to succeed in OSD, teams must develop a well-crafted strategy, utilize communication, and rely on precise aim. This type of gameplay requires a deep understanding of the maps, effective shot placement, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Solo Yolo Competition
Following the team phase, the top X teams will proceed to the Solo Yolo competition. This high-stakes competition sees every player compete individually in One-Shot Deathmatch (OSD). The last player standing will win the Grand Prize of $100K.
Professional Championship
The top three players from the Solo Yolo competition will move on to the Professional Championship. This phase consists of a best-of-one bracket, where each match-up will be played with two players. The top finisher will take home $X, second $Y, and third $Z.
