What Rank Controls a Squad?

When it comes to the United States military hierarchy, a squad is normally led by a noncommissioned officer (NCO) known as a squads leader or squad commander (SGT). The squad normally consists of 7–10 Soldiers, with diverse roles, such as radiotelephone operators ("RTOs"), rifleman, and grenaders.

The Squad Leads the Platoon
