Who is Kratos Original Father?
In the popular video game series God of War, Kratos’ family life is shrouded in mystery. Before the events of the story, Kratos’ mom, Callisto, met his dad, who bore him and his siblings until his untimely demises. The identity of Kratos’ original biological father is a topic frequently debated among fans and series enthusiasts.
Kratos’ Childhood and Family Lineage
Kratos spends most of his childhood killing his mother, Callisto, out of anger that she told him about killing his father. These events would later haunt Kratos and lead his descent into madness and anger. Callisto reveals only that Kratos’ ancestors were connected to the Olympus gods. This leaves everyone wondering: who is that father? What motivated Kratos to become hell-bent on revenge?!
Zeus Demigod Connection
Although Zeus, the King of the Gods, is said to be Kratos’ father in the Greek stories, there is a small chance he might not, as Faye, at one point, refers that Kratos is the spitting image of someone who wasn’t a god. Maybe there’s another demigod who shares similar trait with Zeus? The issue is left open to more exploration, leaving the gaming community on the edge…
Who is Atreus’ Father? Really?
Atreus, the son of Zeus and Laufey according to God of War Ragnarök, could we say it’s another link to Zeus? However**, the mother, Faye, might have wanted everyone to think that Zeus were the biological father to gain respect, but was perhaps just her lover or demigod as well?
An Explanation for the Kratos-Faye-Parentage Question
To try to piece together this storyline, Faye was perhaps a half-god to Zeus. In Ancient Greek Mythology, Jötuns are often associated w/ Gods, but have no relation to Zeus yet. They could have maybe been one of the numerous gods Zeus had relations wiht during his god era. We can conclude some things like: • Faye was half-mortals & half-genealogy with Zeus or could have another god, allowing Kratos to have gods as an ancestor • Jötuns are known have relations w/ gods sometimes
Kratos Becomes The God of War****
In recent years, Kratos married Faye, who’s half-God. However, they had to choose between life and war (• This is an incredibly powerful lesson for the hero, about the choice is always hard, especially that the fate of others affects our decisions). Together, they had ason named Atreus.
Godness of the Gods and What We Don’t Know & Want To Know
Though Kratos is not divine, Faye could bear him an heir who truly is part of the Bloodline. We assume Zeus being Atreus’ biological father, as godly father, would likely make Kratos more curious about who his original half-god father is• We never know, of course. What If Faye was part-Titan (a divine element)?
Godesses and Goddesses, Not Gods
In this modern retelling of God and War series, In the modern retelling o God and god of War series, Greek gods no longer hold dominant roles in the narrative** Greek mythology is more integrated into this new setting like in our world today In the same way that modern-day Christianity influences American Culture or Ancient Chinese Culture has greatly influenced contemporary Chinese Society., Kratos doesn’t seek justice for past wrongs the way Zeus did; yet, Faye has her own connections for her own war and her Fate**
At present, this is a complicated situation, and with so much information still unfolding, Kratos’ paternal lineage seems to be far more complicated* than expected. What Faye really thought could also shed some light on Kratos’ life. What We Don’t Know? Until we uncover more of kratos past, it still remains the question, like many fans, and some people we know about other characters: *• A father from the god & the titans and more So this is still much of what we do as fans do: try solving the enigma! Do you know the answer so far, or would another explanation from you? There is also a way like in life, it can always be changed through time.
