Ganon: Link’s Arch-Nemesis
Ganon, or Ganondorf in humanoid form, is the embodiment of evil and the eternal foe of Link. Appearing in nearly every incarnation of the franchise, his malevolent spirit is eternally tied to Hyrule, driving him to seek power and control through destruction and chaos. Ganondorf’s primary motivation is obtaining the Triforce, a powerful relic that is the key to ultimate control over Hyrule.
In his numerous appearances as the main antagonist, Ganondorf reveals his true power and terrorize the people of Hyrule, culminating in a final confrontation with his eternal foe, Link. Throughout the series, Zelda’s fate is inextricably linked to hers, and she is perpetually caught between the threads of destiny that bind Link and Ganondorf together.
The origins of Ganon’s cursed existence are rooted in A Link to the Past; **Ganondorf’s power comes from the Sacredrealm, where the power source of the gods, Palutena’s Soul Shield, lies, which granted him the Triforce of Power.*** The ultimate goal of his existence – to dominate all of Time and Space.
