Why Can’t I Summon Anything in Skyrim?
Summoning in Skyrim can be an exhilarating experience, watching as powerful creatures and companions appear at your command to aid you in battle and assist you on your quests. However, if you’re having trouble summoning anything in Skyrim, there could be several reasons behind it. In this article, we’ll explore some common issues and solutions to help you get your summons up and running.
Not Enough Magicka
The first and most basic requirement for summoning is magicka. Magicks are the magical energies that fuel your spells and abilities, including summoning. If you don’t have enough magicka to cast a summon, you won’t be able to do so. You can increase your magicka by leveling up, acquiring new gear, and finding potions or spells that enhance your magickal abilities.
Cursor Colored Red
Another potential issue is if your summon cursor is colored red when you try to cast it. This usually indicates that the target location is outside your summoning range, meaning you’re trying to summon something too far away. To fix this, simply move closer to your intended target and try summoning again.
Casting Range and Distance
Summoning has a finite casting range, which determines how far away you can cast a summon. Check your character’s stats page or consult the in-game wiki to find out what the casting range is for your current summon. Remember to stay within this range when trying to summon.
