Why Didn’t I Get PokéCoins from the Gym?
One of the most frustrating situations for Pokémon Go players is waiting for their Pokémon to collect PokéCoins from a gym, only to find out that they haven’t. But why does this happen, and what can players do to increase their chances of earning those coveted coins? Let’s dive into some potential reasons and solutions for why you might not have earned PokéCoins from your gym.
You Exceeded the Daily Defeat Limit
PokéGo has a daily cap of 50 PokéCoins that can be earned through gym battles. While there’s no limit on how many Pokémon you can contribute to a gym at any given time, when more than one Pokémon defends the gym, the defender receives a portion of the overall coins earned. You need to make sure there aren’t multiple Pokémon within one gym, as excess defender coins will not exceed daily limit.
A Quick Fix: Remove Extras or Wait for Defenses
To earn more Coins than the daily limit allowes, you can withdraw most of your Pokémon by keeping only one or your favorite Pokémon in the current defended gym. If you don’t want to remove these strong Pokémon, you wait and let them return themselves back to your team so next day you can be granted the remaining coins once defender is removed.
