Cypher, one of the newest agents to join the Valorant team, is known for his advanced hacking abilities and tech-savvy skills. Despite his advanced intellect, however, there is one peculiarity that sets him apart: he always keeps his face hidden. But why?

The Elusive Answers

In recent interviews and analyses, agents have described Cypher’s reluctance to show his face as peculiar and even puzzling. "Why hide a face that has never seen the light of day?" asks Yoru, a fellow agent who shares his curiosity.

Despite various theories and investigations, none have been able to get a glimpse of Cypher’s face beyond the obligatory helmet and protective gear that hides his face from everyone.

Proposed Explanations

1. Security: Security concerns is a reasonable explanation, at least, considering Cypher’s proficiency in hacking. With information that could blow his own cover, and potential hackers sniffing around, maintaining his anonymity and securing sensitive information is critical.

In fact, Valorant players know that Cyber attacks can be both invasive and revealing, causing agents’ data to spill onto the Matrix in some cases (See infographic: "Effects of Successful Hacking Attempt" to learn more) and so it’s best for everyone, including us.
