Answer: As of September 21, 2023, Activision has officially shut down all functions and servers for Warzone 1. This marks the end of the first-generation Warzone’s era.

Why Was Warzone 1 Shutdown?
Warzone 1’s shutdown can be attributed to several reasons, which led to the gradual decline in player engagement. These include:

• Innovative features removed: Newer features were being pushed to the next-gen games, and to stay focused on development for future projects, the classic maps were removed, reducing replayability for many fans.
