Can You Be Ciri in The Witcher 3?
The question has been lingering in the minds of fans of CD Projekt RED’s critically acclaimed video game, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While Geralt of Rivia is the game’s protagonist, it would be interesting to venture beyond his shoes and explore what it would be like to take on the role of the enigmatic Ciri.
Spoiler Alert: We will be discussing a lot of story-related points that might spoil the plot of the game. If you haven’t completed the story or are new to The Witcher 3 series, please proceed with caution or come back later. If you have already solved Ciri’s mystery in some way, you probably are aware of the fate awaiting her in the third act of the game…
For those who are up-to-date, Ciri plays a significant role towards the end of the main campaign. As the key figure in the prophecy set out by the Elder Blood line, she is linked with the destiny of human settlements and the fate of those around her. Being in her shoes would add another layer of complexity, offering a fresh perspective from someone who has been drawn to the Witcher franchise out of her own self-searching and curiosity…
But can you actually "play as" Ciri?
No, direct role-playing is not currently feasible in The Witcher 3. During cutscenes and specific zones (Corvo Bianko comes to mind), gamers briefly experience life through the shoes of the young queen Ciri, but controlling Geralt’s surrogate "offspring" is purely fictional and only occurs where specifically programmed.
Short Snippets: In order for players to experience an all-new Ciri role (beyond the ones depicted in cutscenes & rare flashbacks), specific changes to the game source-code, new quests written (to allow for intermingling of Geralt-Ciri & Ciri-the-actual- witch), or entirely new scripts in place to handle what kind of ‘Ciries’ exist in multiple capacities, making this almost near impossible at this rate but could have been used had it been part… We could not find clear mention of it in publicly stated updates by CD Pro, and their work as done here would require so that Ciri would do…
Alternative Methods, gamers might choose to approach game modification by creating save-state hacks for the experience within modded environments provided…
No, Post-game Content, Ciri-related quests aren’t as prevalent. Ciri gets only two brief experiences mentioned below and that takes little to no control action during those, and, apart from her being visible.
- Can Triss & Yennefer become pregnant? Absolutely impossible, and it stays even when she is on different sides…
Are mods an option? Sure…, some mod author is going to make and show it but there really could have been a point
- When all the options are already handled: Yennefor not giving a child & Geralt won the child.
Which role would be the game Ciri in The Witcher 3? Would There Be any? – NO
Ciri will not take up paths Geralt since if they don’t see his actions there’s very chance. This is another significant part. If you make modifications for these experiences on. **They will certainly, and I am more important. They are better or have less chance without me, in this path
- Any Role of Ciri: We know how Geralt. All this. We saw before Ciri’s actual world…
Ciri not takes on Geralt Path for it becomes Geralt has so little of the main focus and less of my personal path…
