Did Mason Ever Meet Reznov?
The Call of Duty: Black Ops series features a complex and intriguing plot that spans multiple games, including World at War, Black Ops, and Revenge. One of the main characters in the series, Vladimir Makarov, first introduced in World at War, plays a significant role in the story of Ivanov, the main villain in Black Ops. Although the two characters are deeply connected, there is evidence to suggest that Mason (Vladimir Makarov’s alias) and Grigori Reznov may have met at a point in the story before their respective timelines.
One of the key events connecting Mason and Reznov is the Vorkuta Incident, which leads to the brainwashing and programming of Mason by Zakhaev’s organization for his mission to kill V. M. Vrekhem. During this program, Mason was conditioned with fragmented memories, which seem to be a combination of events from both Mason and Reznov’s real experiences. Step by Step: Unraveling the Mystery
Here we see the eight steps: secure the keys, ascending from the darkness, reap havoc, unleash the power, skewer the mighty, wield the fist, and raise hell. Does it seem like a chaotic combination of memories? If not, what else am I missing?
To resolve the mystery, we follow Mason’s journey in chronological order. His arrival at Vorkuta mine, where he meets Lev, a Russian soldier responsible for the security of his area. The story line starts with a fight because Lev will protect his friend. Who do you think will show up? The man would say, "What must we do?" It cannot be anyone else. I’ve seen that before while you were on your honeymoon trip.
As things move forward, we receive insight into Reznov’s past. We watch the escape from execution, where he saves him in the most brutal game I’ve ever seen between soldiers. After a chaotic confrontation, Reznov leaves him unscathed and continues onto other missions.
To gain deeper insight into their fateful meeting, we study various events from the events surrounding the Vorkuta prison camp. The prisoner-of-war camp is at a critical moment, given Reznov’s efforts in the Vorkuta fight. As Reznov fights his way within Vorkuta, Verekhem (Draghoven) has an excellent position. Mason is working within the Vorkuta project while Reznov remains imprisoned. Both have something similar in their minds-the will to break free after surviving the ordeal.
Vorchenko is no less than an ally and friend for anyone trapped in this camp! How did this all began in the end? Vorchenko and his own thoughts are about freedom and escape. Let the world see that while trying to make sense if Vorchenko was once your friend, or they tried to find him! But what was it? In a different story, or with a different name from my own?
It begins with Reznov in Mason’s head because they were in Vorkuta together. As these individuals were involved in what transpired at Vortek, Reznov fought a battle for his side.
Why Reznov in Mason’s Brain
Reznov joined in the Vorkuta uprising, where Mason eventually participated in his fight inside. Reznov continued working on the plan behind this fight to execute Kennedy.
As well, Reznov continues fighting for freedom in our current story, where things started with Lev and his friends taking actions. There’s less reason to be sad if you were going away. You could leave Reznov with it now. So we had these two guys. A key event took place near that time when we learned why.
